About GhostFont.org

GhostFont.org is an independently designed and operated browser-based motion-typography and visual-perception project.

These terms govern use of the GhostFont.org website. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The public Ghost Font experience turns a short phrase into a moving random-dot illusion. Phrase processing, Canvas rendering, and video recording occur in the visitor's browser. The project does not intentionally receive or store the phrase or generated video.

Browser support varies. Export format, motion quality, timing, appearance, and legibility can differ by device, browser, display, accessibility settings, and recording support. The service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or removed without guaranteeing continued availability of any feature.

Not Encryption or a Security Control

Ghost Font is a creative and educational visual experiment. It is not encryption, secure messaging, access control, a production-ready CAPTCHA, or a guaranteed method for defeating AI or OCR. A person or automated system may be able to recover any phrase from the moving sequence, a recording, browser state, or later analysis.

Do not use the experience for passwords, private keys, access tokens, personal secrets, confidential communications, or as the sole basis for an identity, security, legal, accessibility, or safety decision.

Your Phrase and Downloaded File

You retain whatever rights you already have in text you enter. Because the phrase and recording are created locally, GhostFont.org does not claim ownership of or a license to that phrase or locally generated file merely because you use the public experience.

You are responsible for ensuring that your phrase, resulting file, and later use do not violate law, privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contractual, or other rights. The site does not grant rights to names, marks, images, text, or other material owned by someone else.

Acceptable Use

You must not use GhostFont.org to:

violate applicable law or another person's rights;
distribute malware, phishing material, threats, harassment, or illegal content;
impersonate another person, organization, product, or source;
attempt unauthorized access to the site, infrastructure, or data;
interfere with service availability or bypass reasonable rate, security, or access controls; or
present Ghost Font as guaranteed encryption, guaranteed AI resistance, or a complete security product.

The project may restrict access or take protective action when it reasonably believes these terms, user safety, or service security are at risk.

Project Content and Third-Party Rights

Rights in third-party software, names, marks, and linked material remain with their respective owners. References and links do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or transfer of rights.

The GhostFont.org implementation and editorial material may use third-party software under its applicable licenses. Nothing in these terms authorizes redistribution of third-party components contrary to those licenses.

External Services and Links

The site relies on or may link to third parties, including Cloudflare, Google, EffectiveCPMNetwork, advertisers, and email providers. Their services and content are controlled by them and governed by their own terms and policies. GhostFont.org is not responsible for third-party availability, content, offers, or data practices.

Native banner placements are advertisements. An advertisement may open an external landing page. Its presence does not mean that GhostFont.org endorses, guarantees, or has independently verified the advertiser, product, service, claim, download, or destination. Visitors should evaluate an offer before interacting with it and should never enter a password, payment detail, or other sensitive information into an unfamiliar destination.

Disclaimers

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, the project disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free results. No statement on the site is a promise that a phrase is unreadable by any person, model, OCR system, or future technique.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GhostFont.org and its maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, reputation, or opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
